There are 1,200 staff and faculty at NSCC, and their main job is to help students succeed. NSCC faculty come directly from their respective industries, and maintain their connections with employers to keep their skills and knowledge fresh. NSCC talks to government, industry and other major employers frequently to determine their current and future skills needs, and then redesigns programs to meet those needs.

Today, Nova Scotia Community College graduates work in 40 of the 50 fastest growing occupations in Nova Scotia, building their careers, while helping to build Nova Scotia's future.

Prospective students can share in the success they're enjoying by joining the college's more than 25,000 full- and part-time students and choosing any of the 100+ challenging programs offered by NSCC's five academic schools: the NSCC School of Applied Arts and New Media, the NSCC School of Business, the NSCC School of Health and Human Services, the NSCC School of Trades and Technology and the NSCC School of Access.

Affordable education
NSCC works hard to keep its tuition fees lower than most other post-secondary schools in Canada, while at the same time maintaining the high standards industry demands, and developing part-time studies for those who want to pursue their education while continuing to work.

With 13 campuses and five community learning centres in Nova Scotia, NSCC is pervasive throughout the province, and offers programs designed to help students meet their academic and career goals. NSCC Online Learning delivers courses right to students' desktops.

NSCC equips its students with the skills needed to succeed in growing career fields such as health sciences, digital multimedia, hospitality, business and the skilled trades.

NSCC tracks the success of its graduates to ensure the college's programming is meeting the needs of industry. In fact, 91 per cent of NSCC graduates are employed, most in jobs relating to their field of study.
