Since its first campus offered classes in 1919, New
Brunswick Community College (NBCC) has grown
from a group of small vocational schools to the premier
career training college in the province with seven campuses
in five urban and rural centres.
NBCC's goal is to provide students with an outstanding
education in an intimate and personal setting.
Students work closely with qualified faculty who have
solid academic credentials and real-life experience in
their fields, and participate in a community where
minds are honed, ideas are freely exchanged, and lifelong
friendships are formed. They experience hands-on
training and make use of state-of-the-art equipment
and facilities. At NBCC, students are recognized, challenged
and supported as individuals traveling their own
distinct paths.
While studying at NBCC, students discover the
passion that will lead to fulfilling careers. They will
acquire skills that are highly valued in the world beyond
NBCC's doors. They will be taught to think for themselves,
understand other people's ideas, the importance
of writing and speaking well, and grasp and master
technical skills – capabilities that will place students in
good standing whatever their futures hold. As NBCC
alumni can attest, people with these abilities are sought
actively by leading employers of all kinds.
Naturally, NBCC students learn much from one
another, too, and classroom discussions frequently spill
over to the walkways, lounges and cafés. The spark may
come from a shared enthusiasm or, just as likely, from
a difference of opinion. With students who represent
a spectrum of backgrounds, temperaments, convictions
and tastes, NBCC's campuses have a lively and
dynamic atmosphere.
NBCC is proud of its people and encourages faculty,
staff, and students to share ideas and innovations with
a sense of teamwork and community. Success for the
NBCC community means that students are active,
contributing members. NBCC pledges to work together
to ensure that each student is a successful and valued
member of the college community.
Seven Campuses in Five Great New Brunswick Towns
Fredericton: Nestled alongside the St. John River,
Fredericton is New Brunswick's capital and one of Canada's designated cultural capitals. There are

of Craft and Design. Students choosing to study
here have the choices and diverse opportunities
of a large city with the warmth and friendliness
of a small town.

history-lined streets of the uptown area, as well
as recreational facilities. There are hockey and
concerts at Harbour Station, and arts and culture
shows at the Imperial Theatre.

the province, Moncton is the largest urban centre
in New Brunswick and is also one of the fastest
growing metropolitan areas in Canada. Students

terrific shopping, fabulous dining and an exciting
range of cultural and sporting events.

Brunswick's newest city and is made up of two
towns and several villages. Known as a haven
for outdoor enthusiasts, Miramichi sits on the
banks on the world-famous Miramichi River.
Experience a wide range of sports programs and
facilities and a wide range of outdoor activities,
whatever the season.
St. Andrews: Imagine studying and learning in
one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in
the world. St. Andrews offers a wide range of recreational
activities and business services to meet
the community's needs. Students will be amazed
by the things there are to do in a small town.
Woodstock: Located in western New Brunswick,
less than an hour's drive north of the capital
city, Woodstock is home to the newest and most
modern NBCC campus. The campus is situated
downtown, on the banks of the Meduxnekeag
River, seconds away from multiple restaurants
and cafés.
Services for Students
with Disabilities
NBCC campuses endeavour, when feasible, to
be accessible and to include persons with different
types of disabilities. NBCC's goal is to help
ensure that each student has the opportunity to
access appropriate and viable training opportunities.
Upon acceptance to the college, students
should provide information requested in the
calendar. The College Admission Service will
initiate the necessary communications with the
necessary campus in order to assist students in
obtaining a positive educational experience.
