University Programs
BC colleges offer many two-year associate degree,
joint degree and university transfer programs in
fields as varied as the sciences, environmental studies,
modern languages, history, philosophy, fine arts, and
business administration. A two-year associate degree
is a valuable credential in the marketplace, and the
credits earned can be transferred to universities
across the province. BC colleges also offer applied
degrees in a wide range of fields, designed to equip
graduates with the education and applied skills for
tomorrow's workforce.
About BC Colleges
BC colleges help build capable students and
strong communities. For more than 40 years, BC
colleges have been working with communities
throughout the province to prepare students for
the degree or jobs they want, provide industries
with the skilled workforce they need, and build
stronger local economies.
Every year, more than 130,000 students
enroll in BC's colleges. They choose from more
than 250 programs at 50 campuses and learning
centres in communities from Prince Rupert to
Grand Forks and Ucluelet to Cranbrook. BC's
colleges' comprehensive range of programs is
designed to be flexible and responsive to the
evolving needs of community, local industry
and the global marketplace, and to offer something
for every student: extensive university
transfer options; applied, associate and joint
degrees; diploma and post-diploma programs;
apprenticeships; career and technical programs;
adult education; certificate programs; workplace
training; and on-line and distance education.
The quality of education BC's colleges provide
is second to none. Highly qualified, dedicated
instructors work closely with students
in small classes designed to make learning and
skill development easier. BC college programs
are current and relevant, and students receive
